In August 2026, Ms. Indiana Trejos Gallo, Minister of Foreign Trade of the Republic of Costa Rica, H.E. Ms. Sussi Jiménez Núñez, Ambassador of the Republic of Costa Rica to Japan Ms. Marianela Piedra, Special Envoy for Asia-Pacific Affairs, and other members of their delegation paid an official visit to Nishimura Advanced Ceramics.

The visit was arranged through an introduction by the City of Kyoto.
We provided the delegation with an overview of our ceramic technologies and business activities, followed by a tour of our manufacturing facilities and showroom.
During the visit, we presented the various applications of our products, particularly in the semiconductor field, along with our precision ceramics manufacturing processes and quality assurance initiatives.
The delegation followed the tour with great interest and engaged actively in discussions.
We also exchanged views on the cultural heritage of Kiyomizu ware, a traditional Kyoto craft, and the longstanding history of manufacturing and craftsmanship in Kyoto.
Minister Trejos assumed office in May 2026 and has built a distinguished career in the fields of trade policy and international commerce in Costa Rica.
Through continued engagement with partners around the world, Nishimura remains committed to advancing ceramic technologies and fostering stronger international cooperation.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the representatives of the Republic of Costa Rica for their visit, as well as to the City of Kyoto for their valuable support in making this occasion possible.
