Sensors made of steatite
Nishimura Advanced Ceramics supplies a wide range of sensors made of steatite ceramic.
Types of Sensors:
Ceramics for oxygen sensors/lambda sensors.
Ceramics for temperature sensors, exhaust gas sensors, and nitrate sensors.
End use:
Automotive industry, electrical industry, process engineering, industrial and building automation, home appliances, etc.
The lambda sensor, also known as an oxygen sensor, is an important component in modern combustion engines, especially in vehicles equipped with gasoline or diesel engines. It measures the oxygen content in the exhaust gases and helps optimize the air-to-fuel ratio, also known as the air-to-fuel ratio (also known as the lambda value). Proper functioning of the lambda sensor is therefore critical for vehicle performance, fuel consumption, and emission values.
Nishimura Ceramics Co., Ltd. is IATF 16949 certified and supplies ceramic components to the automotive industry.
Steatite is often used for ceramic components inside the lambda sensor.
Advantages of Steatite Ceramics:
Heat resistance, thermal insulation, and chemical resistance.
